Good things have to come to an end!

Wow! The last blog of this project, but we are finally complete and ready to show the world our final game!

Despite the completion of "The Labyrinth" we still had a lot of feedback to work on. This was an urgent update to the game to really polish and refine it to be as best as possible. After we were told that the game was too hard to see the holes and that it was too difficult to play, we were in sudden degree of urgency!

Our lecturer and some of the play testers said that they found the game way too hard to play (there were too many holes to weave around) and that it was too hard to see the holes. They also said that the levels felt like they were too long so we had to rectify this quickly before the final submission day!

We re-created the first 9 levels and kept the 10th (to keep some grand finale). This was a big job for me and Harjeet as he had to quickly make the concept art and I had to quickly create the levels on Maya.

And to battle the contrasting issue, I completely overhauled the textures on the walls and on the floor. The levels and holes are now much clearer to see.

I also created a menu, there were 5 in total. There was the main menu, the level selection menu, the skin selection menu, a you lose and a you win screen too. These can all be seen below.

Well there you go, all the changes made between the latest post and now. I really enjoyed this journey and I loved sharing it with all of you! Thank you all for joining me on this journey and it has helped me to further complete myself as a game developer as a whole. I have reflected upon the development of our game and I can gladly say I have become a better video game designer because of it. Once again, Thank you for making it this far with my team and I and for the final blog...

Goodbye guys! <3
