My Final Year Project - My First Post!

A "Sneaky" look into my idea for my Final Year Project

Welcome! This is the first post ever for my Final Year Project (FYP). As you can see, no picture for this blog post today :( This is because I have only had concept ideas so far in my head.

What ideas am I thinking of for my FYP?

I've thought of so many ideas from RPGs to platformers. But, I now have an idea that I would love to go with and think it will be interesting to develop. The idea, if you noticed in the sub-headline, is a game that is "sneaky", meaning that I would like to create a stealth-heavy combat based game. This would be a game where you would use line of sight from the enemy to your advantage, crouching around and sneaking up on enemies to take them down. This is a concept I havent tried yet and I think it would be great to develop.

So, what happens when you are spotted by the AI? Well, I thought alongside with the heavy stealth combat, there can be normal combat too, allowing the player to freely choose how they would like to play.

As I said, this is an early idea, there will be many more concepts and ideas soon to come within the following weeks. I'm also thinking of a grappling hook and a bow and arrow (cool, right?). Sure, some ideas may not follow through because of ideas being changed and how focussed I would like to have the game based on stealth but, I know for sure I will be letting the player takedown enemies for the shadows and also from the light, letting them choose.
