The Final!
Ahh, what a bittersweet ending! I'm sad to see this project come to a close but I also am happy that I got to do this experience.
This week I wanted to showcase my personal summary of achievements and any plans I have for the future for Till Kingdom Come.
I feel that the AI was a great achievement for me, having the sword, the archer and the boss AI was great and it felt like there was a variety of enemies to fight in Till Kingdom Come. Having the patrolling with sight and hearing detection, especially when the sword AI hearing was made in C++ was a great feat for me. I was also proud of the level design, the world of Till Kingdom Come felt full and alive. Some honourable mentions include vaulting, lock-on, the potions, the quests and the level up and XP system. This project was astounding and was an absolute joy!
The plans I have in the future for this project is that I plan to have even more AI with different health and hit points. I also want to have dialougue and cutscenes present and more levels that the player can interact on. As mentioned in a previous blog, this is only a snippet of the full game due to time restrictions but, I would love to have more bosses as well as a better fleshed out, captivating story which goes through the proper pipeline (script, storyboard etc.), I think that this could make the game even better than it is already.
Thank you all for staying with me on this journey, it's been an absolute pleasure and joy to share my story and development of the game that I have been working on since practically the start of my 3rd year in university. Once again, thank you all for staying with me up until the point! Make sure you stay updated on this as I will be having more projects and their blogs coming soon! Bye all!
