Quests!
This week I wanted to implement the quests, the quest items and the second level! below you can see the folders for each item (going through each one as screenshotting them all would have required a lot of space and made it harder for you to read) and each folder contains at least one item which is part of the quest system in Till Kingdom Come.
If the player picks up the corresponding item, it disappears from the game world and the quest log as well as the compass updates onto the next item that the player must find. The order goes as follows, Reins > Saddle > Horse for level 1 and for level two it goes Key > Door. Hidden item 1 is seen throughout level 1 and can only be obtained there and hidden item 2 can only be obtain in level 2.
Hidden item 1 is a barrel of ale and once the player picks it up, they must find a friendly NPC where they can interact with them. This item gives extra potions slots so, each potion can be held up to a maximum of 10. Hidden item 2 is in a village and once the player picks it up, the player then receives a buff to the stamina where instead of 100 max stamina, it then turns to 150.

Below is a picture of level 2. As mentioned in my dissertation, I said that due to time restrictions, there will only be 2 playable levels however, in the grand scale of things, there would be multiple levels with each level design getting more and more technical in terms of the buildings. The story goes that the main character is trying to regain their throne back so, it made sense to have each increment of a level to have more advanced buildings as the player gets closer and closer to the castle. As seen in level 2, there is a stone walled village as well as a wooden pike walled village too, I really enjoyed creating this level.

Thanks for tuning in this week, I got some pretty neat stuff done this week! Next week I plan to add in a boss AI, this AI will have different features and I think this will really solidify Till Kingdom Come into being a game like Dark Souls.
